Presentation from two public Montessori schools (representing Chicago Public Schools and Milwaukee Public Schools). Discussion will include how the Common Core State Standards can be addressed while adhering to the Montessori philosophy and approach. Schools will also discuss how they have struck a balance between adhering to the district mandates they are accountable for while continuing to implement a Montessori program with integrity and which honors the child.
